will—and in judgment?—As to poverty in receiving—borrowing—lending—giving without proper
leave?—Do I act as if I owned what I am permitted to use?—As to chastity in act, word,
thought, in exposing myself to temptation by want
of custody of the eyes, by dangerous reading, by
allowing liberty to my affections—by idleness, by
dissipation of mind?—What other virtues am I
practicing?—Which in particular? How?—Do I
seriously try? 3. Do I suffer disturbance of soul?—Trouble-some temptations?—Do I find it hard or easy to
resist?—How do I resist my temptations?—To
what feelings am I most inclined and moved?—
To what sins ? 4. Have I had a firm judgment contrary to
the constitution?—Contrary to any regulation of
Superiors ?—Have I argued against the Constitution or regulations? 5. Have I esteem for the Constitution -For
the means it employs to reach the end?—Have I a
zeal for souls? 6. How am I disposed towards spiritual exercises?—How much time do I give them?—How
much time do I give to prayer ?—Do I give more
time to vocal or to mental prayer? 7. Do I have consolation in spiritual things?-and devotion?—Or desolation?—
dryness?—distraction?—How do I conduct myself under them? 8. What fruit do I
receive from Holy Communion?—from Confession?—from the Examens?—especially from the Particular Examen? —from other spiritual exercises? 9. Have I advanced since my last Monthly
Recollection?—Have I a desire for perfection? 10. How do I observe the Rules?—Art, 34;
35; 47-54; 58; 59-66; 71-80; 82; 85-87; 89; 96-
108; 128-134. How do I observe the directions
given me in my duties? 11. Am I mortifying myself ?—Using penance ?
—Do I prepare myself to bear injury and reproof?—and other things belonging to the cross
of Christ?—Do I try to desire them? 12. How am I as to my companions?—Do I
gain spiritually from dealing- with them?—Am I
more familiar with one than another? 13. Have I an aversion to anyone?—Have I
been offended in anything by my Superiors?—Or
any official ?—Or anyone else ?—How am I disposed towards Superiors? 14. Have I let others know temptations
have suffered?—especially about my vocation? |
