MANUAL OF THE SISTERS OF CHARITY

DAILY INTENTIONS

Sunday—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings in honor of the Most Holy Trinity; for the Pope, the clergy, the Propagation of the Faith; in thanksgiving for my Creation, Redemption, and Vocation, and to beg grace to unite myself perfectly to God, by dying to myself and to the world; so that I may use my talents and my whole being in the service of my Heavenly Spouse.

Monday—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings in honor of our Blessed Lord; for the Repose of the Faithful Departed, particularly ..., and the Sisters of the Institute departed; and for myself, the graces of meekness, understanding, perseverance, and a happy death.

Tuesday—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings in honor of the Holy Angels, for the conversion of bad and negligent Catholics, especially ..., for all the needs of my Institute, and for myself a right knowledge and the perfect spirit of Poverty, Chastity, Obedience and Patience.

Wednesday—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings in honor of St. Joseph and my Patron Saints; for my parents, friends and benefactors, for those for whom I have promised to pray; for the temporal wants of my Institute, for Reverend Mother General, for all Superiors; for the Community of this Convent; and for myself, modesty, humility, fortitude, and the graces to subdue my senses and imagination.

Thursday—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings in honor of the Blessed Sacrament; in reparation for all indignities offered to this Sacrament of Love, for all sacrilegious Communions, for all Religious souls, especially . . . for all Priests...., for grace to perform my duties well; for the relief of the sick and the poor; and for myself, charity, confidence in God, godliness and devotion.

Friday.—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings in honor of the Sacred Passion and Death of our Lord Jesus Christ; that union and charity may reign in the Community; that its members may increase, that all may be filled with zeal for the conversion of sinners; for the people of this Parish .. ., the children of the Schools, First Communicants ..., and for myself, a simple and pure intention in all my actions.

Saturday—Mass, Holy Communion, Rosary, labors and sufferings, in honor of our Blessed Lady; to beg grace to confess my sins briefly, distinctly and contritely; to draw much fruit from my Confessions and Holy Communions; for my Confessor, all the light he requires; and for myself, to beg our Lady to be present at my death, and obtain for me every grace I shall need.
