COMMUNITY PRAYERS Before Morning Prayers
At the first sound of the bell say:
Deo Gratias! To Thee, 0 God! do I devote my
day and my night, my life and my death. Mary,
Joseph and St. Vincent, pray for me!
Take Holy Water and say:
Wash me yet more and more from my iniquities
and cleanse me from my sins, 0 Lord!
Make the Morning Offering to the Sacred Heart.
While dressing say:
Clothe me, 0 Lord, with the robe of innocence,
and adorn my heart, 0 Divine Spouse of my
Soul, with all the virtues that are pleasing to
Thee; especially with humility, obedience, purity,
charity and an exact fidelity to my holy Rules and
Vows.
When putting on the holy habit say:
0 Good Jesus, Divine Spouse of my soul, I
thank Thee for this cherished token of my allegiance to Thee, and I beseech Thee, that, with
Thy grace, I may preserve unsullied the wedding
garment with which Thou didst invest my soul
on the blessed day of my consecration to Thee.
